General Support and Baby Activities

Mommy Poppins - Places to go and things to do with kids of all ages

Neighborhood Parent Facebook Groups, they can be good places to by gently used baby gear and link up with local parents.

Busy Bodies, Clinton Hill, offers numerous classes and play groups, $20 per class

Park Slope Parents group - The city's largest parent network, connect to support groups, preschools, caregivers and much more

Wild Was Mama, Greenpoint, hosts breastfeeding support circles and numerous other workshops including pelvic floor and exercise classes

92Y Parenting Center & 14th Street Y also offers breastfeeding support groups, baby and toddler classes and baby and me exercise classes.

The Babies Project, Manhattan, offers open group sessions which allows babies to explore freely. Certified Infant Developmental Movement Educators are available to support the infants and talk to parents and caregivers. Classes are by donation.

Mental Health Resources

Motherhood Center - Manhattan, offers counseling, support groups, and programs for both expecting and postpartum moms. They also offer breastfeeding and fitness workshops and a unique day program for treatment of PMADs (Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders) (212) 335-0034

Brooklyn Postpartum Depression Support Group - Gowanus, monthly meeting as well as a new 6 week intensive program, The Mother Circle. Monthly meeting at $35, Babies are welcome.

La Leche League meeting

Boober offers on-demand, same-day breastfeeding help and support, and can send a lactation consultant to your home.  

Uptown Village Washington Heights, offers a full range of support options including postpartum doulas, lactation consultants and classes
